largemouth bass is, without a doubt, the most popular of all freshwater
gamefish. They strike readily at a variety of lures, but the best lure
to use depends on the situation. In the early season
when
the water is cold, the Booyah Baby Boo jig is my favorite choice.
Sometimes I tip the jig with one of the Storm Rattle Lizards
included in this gift baskets, or I fish the Rattle Lizard weightless
with the included wide gap hooks. For deeper water I use the
Rattle Lizard with the Lindy No-Snagg Veg-E-Jig. For spawning
bass, I like the Zoom Flukes, and I rig them weightless on the Matzuo
wide gap hooks. Bass go crazy for the soft plastic flukes
that
can be danced in front of their noses. In most situations,
the
bass fisherman MUST have polarized fishing glasses to eliminate surface
glare and spot spawning fish. This gift basket includes a
pair of
Strike King Polarized Fishing glasses. These glasses
block UVA
and UVB light, and come with a protective case. The Rapala
Countdown is perhaps the most popular minnow bait of all time, and it
great for bass and other fish as well. In warmer water, bass
are
suckers for larger, flashier baits. For surface fishing I use
the
